With us, help for self-help is not a slogan, but a program. For a better life with a perspective.
WE GIVE CHILDREN
A HOME
We give a home to children who, for various reasons, cannot live at home with their families. Parents often died of AIDS or other diseases. The AIDS death rate in Zambia is over 11% despite education and medical assistance. Many of the children of Zambia are orphans. Our children's houses are located on the site of the school, so that the children have a short way to school. The campus as the center of life.
WE BUILD
SCHOOLS
They study hard at school. Here, unlike in Germany, it is a privilege to be allowed to go to school. We support the school with salaries to pay the teachers, with construction activities to maintain a building, with materials and the offer to promote the training of the teachers to keep the level high.
AND AFTER
CLASSES?
In order to structure the day and keep the kids busy in a meaningful way, we support dedicated locals who provide soccer training.
The sports teams consist of

- 120 children
We support by procuring uniform sportswear, suitable shoes and training materials. The kids feel like real professionals.

Footprints International ist ein deutscher Verein mit Sitz in Henstedt-Ulzburg, nahe Hamburg. Gegründet wurde er 2014 von Daniela und Johannes (Joe) Walter.
Wir haben einfach angefangen, als wir im Jahr 2012 von einem einheimischen Schulleiter aus Sambia gefragt wurden, ob wir die Kinder in seinem Land unterstützen können.
Wir sind hingefahren und haben die große Not gesehen und dann Sponsoren gesucht. Einige Projekte in unterschiedlichen Ländern Afrikas folgten. Mittlerweile liegt der Fokus ganz auf dem Hauptprojekt in Sambias Hauptstadt Lusaka, bei dem wir über 700 Kinder und 25 Lehrer unterstützen, ein Kinderhaus für Kinder ohne Eltern bauten und ein breites Sportangebot für die Kinder und Jugendliche aufgestellt haben. Wir finanzieren Schulgebühren für Schülerinnen und Schüler, unterstützen den Breitensport und finanzieren medizinische Hilfe für Menschen, die sich die Gesundheitsversorgung nicht leisten können. Wir bieten Lehrerfortbildungen an und unterstützen bei der Entwicklung von Lern- und Bildungsplänen.
All dies tun wir mit einem großartigen Team in Sambia und Deutschland und vielen Spendern mit einem großen Herzen für unsere Arbeit.
